Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and practical, constructible engineering solutions.

Provide technical oversight and assurance across HV engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.

Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements, Australian Standards, and RSGx procedures.

Support engineering solutions for substation, switchyard, transmission, and distribution projects across greenfield and brownfield scopes.

Work closely with Project Managers, Construction, and Commissioning teams to ensure constructability, safety, and quality outcomes.

Provide technical support to commissioning, energisation, and handover activities as required.

Contribute technical input to tenders, including scope definition, methodologies, engineering effort estimates, and risk identification.

Support tender reviews and value-engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness and delivery outcomes.

Assist with developing engineering processes, tools, and capability across RSGx.

Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to manage interfaces and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

Ensure all engineering activities comply with RSGx's Integrated Management System (IMS) and relevant legislation.

Drive standardisation of engineering processes, templates, and documentation.

Promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture across all engineering and project activities.

Contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering best practice.

Essential (About You)

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 7+ years' experience in HV project engineering, construction, or commissioning within resources, utilities, or energy sectors.

Demonstrated experience working across the full project lifecycle – engineering, construction, and commissioning.

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a small engineering team.

Experience contributing to tenders, estimating, or bid support.

Strong understanding of HV systems including substations, switchyards, transformers, and protection & control systems.

Hands-on experience with primary and secondary commissioning, including test equipment such as Omicron, Megger, Doble, VLF, etc.

Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and network operator specifications.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards accreditation.

Experience on major projects, particularly within the Pilbara or similar heavy industrial environments.
