Technical Officer - Desktop, Network, Server

A leading Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Technical Officer / Systems Engineer to install, support and maintain the Department's networks within all sites across Australia. The successful Technical Officer will be offered a 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 2 years .

The successful Technical Officer / Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to :

• Install and support the departments IT, Network and Communications systems.
• Review and maintain installation documentation of various ICT systems.
• General technical work and advice.
• Additional duties as required in relation to ICT technical installations and support.

The successful Technical Officer / Systems Engineer will have experience in the following :

• Demonstrated experience in supporting Complex ICT Systems.
• Capable of install / support of end-user compute software and hardware.
• Capable of installation and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supply function and installation / maintenance.
