The Opportunity
Reporting to theOperations Manager theProject Managerwill lead and manage assigned projects. The role is accountable for all facets of the project lifecycle ensuring each stage is managed diligently and effectively. Strong leadership along with highlevel consultation and communication will be key in identifying constraints pinchpoints and risk that has the potential to impact on the successful delivery of the project to our clients.
Whats Involved
Manage Project Risk Schedule Procurement Budget Resourcing Communications and StakeholdersEnsure accurate task information is documented to ensure detailed and accurate charges are billed accordingly against projectsManage project schedules to ensure that project schedules are accurately compiled updated and delivered to customer needsManage budgets and ensure financial targets met or exceededIdentify and appropriately manage any technical safety or project personnel issues and riskProcure project labour IAW the project resourcing requirements both internally and externallyDevelop key relationships with stakeholders and suppliers and maintain communicationsProvide clear direction to project teams to ensure daily weekly and critical tasks are executed by the required deadlines to quality standardsProvide project specific advice to ensure future projects costings and timelines are quoted accuratelyCompile submit and negotiate project tender responsesCompile submit negotiate and execute any project variationsFacilitate and lead project meetings and toolbox meetingsYoull Need
Possess an engineering or fabrication Trade Qualification with 10 years trade experience.Willing to obtain a Project Management Qualification if successful.Exposure to the Marine and or heavy industrial industries as well as a sound knowledge of asset management standards systems and processes is desirable.Be commercially astute with exposure to project budgets estimates and cost controls.Be goals driven and results orientated with an excellent attention to detail and the ability to explain and discuss technical commercial and contractual topics.Experience in planning.Strong supervisory organisational written and verbal skills.ProActive thinker with Initiative.Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).Why Austal
