Job description

We are looking for experienced Automotive Mechanics specializing in Toyota vehicles for employment in Australia. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Toyota vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, experience with modern diagnostic tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to Australian automotive industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Toyota vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Conduct engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system maintenance, and other major repairs.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy in repairs.

2. Diagnostic & Technical Expertise

  • Use computerized diagnostic tools , including Toyota Techstream and other relevant software.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins .
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues to determine the best repair solutions.

    • 3. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure all repairs meet Toyota’s service standards and Australian automotive regulations .
  • Conduct post-repair inspections and safety checks to verify the quality of work.
  • Follow workshop safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    • 4. Customer Service & Communication

  • Explain repair work and recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance on preventive maintenance and vehicle care.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians, supervisors, and service advisors.
  • Stay updated on Toyota’s latest vehicle technologies, hybrid systems, and repair procedures .
  • Participate in training programs and certification courses as required by the employer.

    • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Automotive Mechanic (Toyota experience preferred).
  • Automotive Certification (recognized trade qualifications in home country or internationally).
  • Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and modern workshop equipment.
  • English language proficiency for technical communication and reporting.
  • Must meet Australian skills assessment requirements for automotive mechanics.
  • Valid driver’s license (international or Australian-recognized).

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Work experience in an authorized Toyota dealership or service center .
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle technology (e.g., Toyota Prius, RAV4 Hybrid).
  • Prior overseas work experience in an automotive workshop.
