Concreter

Summit Homes Group is seeking an experienced Concreter to join our residential construction team on a full-time basis. This role involves carrying out concreting works across new home builds and residential developments, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard in line with Australian building requirements.

This role involves carrying out concreting works across new home builds and residential developments, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard in line with Australian building requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Erecting concrete formwork and laying steel reinforcing for residential slabs, footings, paths and driveways
• Pour, spread and level concrete using screeds and templates
• Tamp, smooth, shape and seal concrete
• Operate trowelling machines to float, trowel and polish concrete surfaces
• Form expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straight edges
• Install fixtures in concrete such as anchor bolts, steel plates and door sills
• Wet concrete and rub with abrasives to finish vertical surfaces
• Cover concrete with plastic sheeting and sand to assist curing
• Cut lines in concrete using power cutters
• Apply colouring and other materials to freshly poured concrete where required
