ICU Registrar | CICM Gen6 & Rural Accredited | Regional Victoria
The Opportunity
We are keen to connect with ICU Registrars interested in joining a major regional referral hospital in Victoria. This is a full-time training-focused role within a mixed medical–surgical Intensive Care Unit accredited for CICM training.
The unit manages a broad case mix including sepsis, trauma stabilisation, peri-operative critical care and complex medical presentations across a large regional catchment.
This role will appeal to trainees seeking recognised regional ICU training within a supportive consultant-led environment.
The ICU & Hospital
This is the primary regional health service for a catchment of approximately 150,000 people and has recently undergone significant redevelopment, strengthening ICU and acute infrastructure.
The Intensive Care Unit provides:
• Mixed medical–surgical ICU capability
• Ventilatory and organ support
• Close integration with Emergency and Anaesthetics
• Regional trauma stabilisation
• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration
The unit is CICM accredited for Limited General Training (Gen6) and Rural training, reflecting structured supervision, governance and recognised training standards.
Registrars are supported by experienced Intensivists within a stable consultant-led model.

Requirements
• Eligible for registration with AHPRA
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
• CICM trainees encouraged to apply
• International doctors assessed as partially or substantially comparable welcome
