Introduction

This is an opportunity to join a growing mining services business with operations across Australia and international markets, where your technical accounting expertise will be valued and your ideas for improvement will be encouraged. Based North of the River, this role offers a broad accounting position with real ownership across key finance functions.
About the Role
This is a hands-on accounting role that will see you take responsibility for several critical areas of the finance function.
You'll own the accounts receivable and customer accounting process, ensuring customer accounts are reconciled, payments are accurately allocated, and outstanding issues are resolved efficiently.
Alongside this, you'll manage bank reconciliations, maintain general ledger integrity, reconcile international supplier accounts, and support month-end and year-end reporting activities.
You'll also play an important role in strengthening financial controls, supporting audit and compliance requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and finance processes.
If you enjoy working with financial data, investigating discrepancies, and driving improvements, you'll find plenty of variety and challenge in this position.
About the Company
Our client is a growing mining services business operating across both Australian and international markets. With 30% YOY growth in the last year this Company predominantly services Blue-Chip Miners. The Business has had exponential growth over the last 3 years growth and is looking at a stellar trajectory through to June FY2027.
This is supported by a strong order book across a wide range of commodities. The organisation has built a reputation for delivering quality outcomes and continues to invest in its people, systems, and processes as it expands. The finance team plays a key role in supporting business performance, maintaining strong financial controls, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion).
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting capability and understanding of Australian accounting principles.
- Experience across accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using accounting systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively improve processes.
- Experience with Pronto will be highly regarded.
