The Role

They are currently seeking a motivated Intermediate Hydraulic & Fire Protection Engineer looking for exciting and challenging projects and a drive to progress their career further.

A great role if you have a positive outlook, are a team player and want to be challenged by working on a diverse range of projects in the building services industry.

Ideally, you'll be degree qualified, with 4+ years of experience in hydraulic and Fire design, exhibiting excellent communication skills with an eye for detail and understanding of the commercial outcomes.

In a diverse role, you will be balancing a mix of responsibilities, combining your strong people skills with your passion for the technical aspects of the role.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality engineering advice on a wide variety of projects. This includes due diligence, concept design, detailed design, construction stage administrative duties, and also offers project-leading opportunities.


The Responsibilities

• Hydraulic and Fire Protection design for building services across multiple industry sectors
• Ability to write reports, tenders, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Conduct site audits and develop quotations and engineering submissions
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team
• Growing the business and developing strong, long-lasting client relationships

The Requirements

• Hydraulic/Fire Protection engineer with 4+ years of experience and relevant accreditation with Engineer Australia
• Experience in consulting within the building services industry
• NER registration and CPEng candidates are preferred or working towards these accreditations
• You will have a working knowledge of Australian Standards & best engineering practices
• You will have experience liaising with clients and practising exceptional customer service
• You'll be a natural people-person with an approachable and professional communication style
• You will have excellent written language and verbal communication skills
• You will have the ability to work to deadlines and use your initiative daily
• Terrific team player who's able to develop and foster positive and productive relationships but can also work alone
• Ability to remain calm and effective in an often fast-paced environment
