The Opportunity
• High-volume Emergency Department within a major regional referral centre
This is a Consultant Emergency Medicine (FACEM) position within a busy, high-performing department managing a large and diverse patient cohort, including trauma, acute medical, paediatrics, and complex regional presentations.
The Emergency Department plays a central role in regional healthcare delivery, acting as a key referral hub with strong links to surrounding services and tertiary centres.
Consultants are actively involved in frontline clinical care, senior decision-making, and supervision of registrars and junior doctors, within a well-supported and collaborative team environment.

The hospital is a well-resourced regional centre with comprehensive services across ICU, surgery, general medicine, and subspecialties, supporting high-quality patient care and efficient clinical pathways.
The Emergency Department has an established consultant workforce and a strong focus on sustainable rostering, team-based care, and maintaining flow within a high-demand setting.
There is a well-developed education program, with opportunities to be involved in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to clinical governance and service development aligned with Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) standards.

Requirements
• Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA or eligibility
• Substantially comparable candidates encouraged, with structured support through the ACEM comparability assessment pathway
