At Quinn & Co. Eyecare, we're passionate about eye health and helping people see the world more clearly. We're looking for an experienced Optical Dispenser who's ready for their next challenge. You'll join us as an OD, learn our systems and standards, and- once you've demonstrated consistent performance and leadership (no more than six months) - you'll be elevated into the Practice Manager role.

The Opportunity

You'll start on the floor : dispensing, styling, and delighting patients. As you settle in, you'll progressively take on leadership responsibilities - team coordination, inventory and supplier management, clinic flow, recalls, and KPI oversight - so that when we hand you the keys to the practice, it feels like a natural next step.

What You'll Do (as OD, from day one)

Welcome patients and guide them through seamless appointments and collections

Dispense lenses with confidence, fit and adjust frames, and handle minor repairs

Advise on lens technologies and coatings to optimise outcomes

Place and track orders, manage warranties, and keep inventory tidy and accurate

Partner closely with our optometrists and support team to deliver stand-out care

How You'll Step Up (path to Practice Manager)

Own daily clinic operations, patient flow, and roster coordination

Lead, coach, and develop the team; set standards for service and sales excellence

Manage supplier relationships, buying, stock turns, and merchandising

Oversee recalls, Medicare / private health claiming accuracy, and compliance

Track and improve KPIs (capture rate, AR coating mix, remake rate, NPS, rebookings)

Drive local area marketing initiatives and community relationships

About You

You're a seasoned Optical Dispenser with a sharp eye for detail and a steady, patient-first approach. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy mentoring others. You're commercially aware, confident with lens technologies, and comfortable using practice software and Microsoft 365. Most importantly, you're ready to lead.

Pay & Progression

Hourly rate starting at $

• as an Optical Dispenser, with wages negotiable based on experience. On elevation to Practice Manager, a competitive package will be offered commensurate with responsibility and performance.
