Your opportunity
As a valued Lifestyle Carer based at Anglicare Paddington, The Terraces you will design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs that promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of purpose to our residents.
You will be available - Monday 10am-6pm. Wednesday 9am-5pm, Friday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-6pm
With kindness and understanding, you will:
Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
Support residents to maintain independence and dignity through meaningful engagement
Learn residents’ life stories, interests and goals to inform personalised activities.
Work with residents, families and care teams to support holistic care plans.
Communicate activity calendars and evaluate programs to improve resident outcomes.
Follow safety, quality and aged care requirements.
What you’ll bring
You are warm, creative and organised, with a genuine interest in enriching the lives of older people. You communicate well, build trusting relationships and enjoy working as part of a care team. You share our values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence.
What’s required:
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or Bachelors of Diploma in Health Science or Community Services
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid Certificate
What’s preferred:
Experience in aged care or a similar care setting.
Knowledge of aged care quality and accreditation requirements.
Experience planning or facilitating lifestyle activities.
