About AVIVO
We work alongside people and families who need personalized support due to disability, ageing, or mental health experiences. Our work is entirely community‑based, which means support happens in people’s homes and out in the community rather than in a centre or facility.
This hands‑on role includes personal care, domestic assistance, and community access support. Opportunities are available across Bull creek, Willetton, Cannington, Canning Vale, Gosnells, Thornlie, Kelmscott, Armadale, Harrisdale, Byford, Belmont, Rivervale, South Perth, Como and Victoria Park.
We currently are looking for an energic and bubbly Support Worker to support a young customer living in Carilse that has Autism. She requires the following supports:
- Providing personal care & community supports
- We offer a minimum of 10 -15 hours per week to start, with a guarantee for gradual increase
- Customers' preference is a female support worker that has Autism experience
- Available to work on weekdays and specifically on Mondays from 8am - 4.30pm
We provide all the training you need — all you bring is a positive, can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn. This is meaningful work where skills, reliability, and genuine compassion make a real difference.
Availability is essential, as we have a variety of shifts that need consistent coverage. Preferred if applicants can work either early mornings, or evenings on some days.
Hours of work start on 10 hours per fortnight guaranteed and you gradually work up to close to full-time hours if desired.
To be considered, you will need a minimum of 3-4 days availability to help cover shifts across the week, including weekends.
What You’ll Do:
- Personal care including bowel care
- Domestic assistance (housekeeping, meal prep, shopping) and Personal care routine (bathing, toileting, grooming)
- A range of clinical care - including administering medication
- Manual tasks such as hoisting
- Social support including assistance with trips in and around the community
- Regular communication and engagement with your local team
You'll need:
- A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to facilitate people to develop and sustain their own social connections and relationships
- Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude to help ensure our customers receive flexible and individualised support
- Ability to assist with physical tasks and help with mobility as needed.
