    • About the Role
    • As Head of Special Education Services, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our leadership team, our staff, students and the school community.You will prioritise Clarity, High Expectations, Instructional Leadership and create and sustain an environment of inclusiveness and personalised teaching and learning for students.

    • Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
    • Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and / or Early Childhood Development Program.
    • Lead and manage the Special Education Program and / or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
    • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
    • As HOSES you will demonstrate strategic leadership by
    • Building and ensuring a strong, equitable and inclusive environment to support a shared vision in raising the achievement of all students including high ability students.
    • Monitoring, tracking, analysing and triangulating data to inform strategic direction and realise the intent of strategic planning.
    • Leading a systematic approach to professional learning, coaching and mentoring to improve differentiated teaching and learning.
    • Aligning the teaching, assessing and reporting of the Australian Curriculum for students with adjustments to their learning and the environment.
