Position Description
Why Join Carers Queensland?
You will be part of a supportive, purpose-driven environment that empowers you to create meaningful change in your role. As Carers Queensland continues to grow and evolve, this role plays a key role in building a modern, data-driven organisation. Carers Queensland’s nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) has been training and developing community service practitioners for more than 10 years. Unlike other RTOs, we focus specifically on the aged, community, disability, and health service sector.
About the role:
The RTO Training Lead is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational leadership and outcomes of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) function. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, compliant training and assessment services that meet organisational objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. The Training Lead supports the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) while embedding quality, consistency and continuous improvement across all training and assessment practices.
Working in partnership with industry stakeholders, the RTO Training Lead ensures training programs, assessment activities and curriculum remain aligned with industry needs, contemporary practice, and best practice in adult learning and assessment. There are no two days that are the same, so you will need to be organised, able to set out the forward delivery plan, yet pivot when needed. Your ability to apply business processes to different situations will be key to your success. Based at our Corporate offices in Lutwyche, close to public transport, we do provide education services across Queensland so some travel will be involved in this role.
Your day may include:
- Leading and supporting our Training and Assessment team across day-to-day operations to ensure seamless delivery of our training programs.
- Creating training and assessment strategies, workbooks, trainer materials, assessment tools and mapping to ensure compliance with training package outcomes.
- Lead the development of education training programs.
- Conduct training as and when required.
- Implementing training content into aXcelerate in an interactive and engaging format.
- Analysing industry training needs and refining existing programs accordingly.
- Evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements in teaching methodologies.
- Determining whether operational procedures and polices need modification to enhance efficiency and compliance.
