Service Advisor

Volvo Group Australia manages the manufacturing, distribution and operation of well-known brands such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Financial Services.

This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), who are the primary commercial vehicle distribution and servicing centre’s for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks.

What you will do

At VCV Brisbane South, our Service Advisor’s are key to the success of our VCV dealerships, and we pride ourselves on our quick and high quality customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Scheduling service appointments and organising service work schedules
• Handling customer service related queries – via phone, email or in person
• Ensuring customers are signing repair orders to authorise repairs
• Confirming Volvo Technician’s have completed repair order information to the appropriate standard
• Completing customer invoicing, warranty invoicing and internal invoicing
• Raising purchase orders and liaising with subcontractors
• Liaising with customers in relation to job status updates, variances to quoted pricing and credit limits
• Ensuring vehicles are presented back to customers in acceptable condition and all repairs have been explained.

Your future team

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and through to the Workshop Manager, the VCV Brisbane South team of roughly 100 is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s. The team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive and good-humoured team environment.

You will be based full time at our VCV Brisbane South dealership in Wacol, which sits beside our Volvo Group Australia head office. As this is a day shift role, standard hours of work will be 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Who are you?

At Volvo Group, we feel that your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical skills! Ideally you will have:

• Experience in a similar Service focused role, however we would still love to hear from you if you have related experience within the truck industry – administration, invoicing, warranty or technical backgrounds
• Truck industry experience is advantageous, or similar industry experience
• A passion for providing excellent customer service
• A solid understanding of data entry systems, Word and Excel
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet
• An HR license (or the willingness to obtain one)
