About this Opportunity
RFDS SA/NT retrieval doctors support remote South Australia & Northern Territory by providing remote emergency advice, clinical coordination of primary retrievals & aeromedical emergency care from our Port Augusta base. You may be based/living in Adelaide maintaining your skills in emergency medicine or anaesthesia, with a passion for supporting regional communities part time by driving to Port Augusta once every 4-8 weeks for a 4–7-day rotation as part of a team of highly skilled doctors and flight nurses. You will have a passion for responsive, timely emergency care for our most isolated communities.We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a doctor with experience in emergency, ICU & anaesthesia. You will have:
Ideally, you will also have experience in remote area medicine, along with a well-developed understanding of rural and remote Australia and the challenges of providing first class healthcare within these environments.
