Workshop General Hand / Trades Assistant - FULL TIME

Our Client, a renowned leader in the Recycling Services industry, dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices nationwide and are committed to delivering high-quality recycling solutions.

Location: Kings Park
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Shift times: Monday – Friday 5am – 3pm & Saturday 5am – 12pm
Salary: $34 Per hour + overtime rates
Start Date: Immediate Start Available For Successful Applicant

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced All – Round Factory General Hand / Trades Assistant to join our busy industrial facility operations. This is a hands-on role that would be ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things organized and moving efficiently.

Due to the nature of the business you will be required to work the hours stated above this will include Saturday work every week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating forklifts (counterbalance ) to move goods safely.
• Assisting tradesman – electricians and fitters onsite
• Using hand and power tools
• Assisting Maintenance team, taking spare parts and other materials
• Spray painting handrails and walkways – via spray gun
• Inventory control, including stocktaking and cycle counts.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the factory
• Moving materials within the factory and yard as required
• General hand work, assisting other areas within the business as required when all jobs in the factory have been completed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid forklift license (e.g., LF in Australia).
• Previous welding or fabricating experience highly desirable but not essential
• Experience operating forklifts and using warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of procedures and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills or experience
• Physically fit as manual handling will be involved
• Hand and power tool experience ( Highly Desirable)
• Mechanically Minded (Highly Desirable)
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Own Transportation
• Must be able to work the required hours ( Saturday Work )
