The Opportunity :

As an Account Executive at TalkingPoints, you will work towards internal KPIs, for growing overall partnership revenue and reach. You will drive sales goals and help scale our impact by increasing the number of new school district partnerships. You'll be working with district leaders and key decision makers, and cross-functionally with Partner Success, Marketing, Product and Engineering to ensure that each partner is supported to reach their family engagement goals.

Your Responsibilities :

Own a geographic territory made up of medium to large K-12 school districts; deeply understand regional dynamics, funding cycles, and stakeholder structures.Consistently generate and maintain a self-sourced & inbound pipeline that is at least 3X your assigned quota, using outbound prospecting, referrals, and targeted campaigns.Own the full sales cycle—from lead generation and discovery through proposal development, procurement, negotiation, and close—with minimal hand-holding.Develop and execute territory plans that drive predictable, scalable pipeline and revenue growth.Build trusted relationships with multi-level district stakeholders, including technology directors, communication & student services leaders, superintendents, and other decision-makers.Travel regularly (approximately 20–30%) to conferences, regional events, and in-person meetings to build relationships, present at sessions, and advance deals.Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Product to ensure market feedback informs our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap.Maintain impeccable pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy in Salesforce and related tools.Continuously improve your approach by testing messaging, documenting learnings, and sharing best practices across the sales team.

Who You Are :

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in B2B sales focused on prospecting and new customer acquisition in a technology sales role.You're experienced in closing sales contracts between $50,000 and $100,000+ in annual recurring revenue.You have mentored and / or managed junior team members.You're an excellent communicator and have the confidence to speak effectively with a range of school and district leaders as you introduce, demonstrate, and solve some of the key family engagement and communication issues in educational organizations.Nice to Haves :

Experience with the U.S.-based K-12 education systemsExperience in or empathy with communities we serve (e.g., underserved populations, education, immigration, bilingual and / or multicultural environments)The base range for this role is $105,000 - $120,000. The actual base compensation may vary

depending on factors such as experience, location, market conditions, education / training, and

skill level, and does not include bonuses, other forms of compensation, or benefits.
