Food and Beverage Attendant

The Role

Ventia, in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, are seeking enthusiastic Food & Beverage team members to deliver exceptional front of house customer service across service areas, dining areas, and bars. Your role will involve customer assistance, bar service, point of sale operations, deliveries on base, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

These casual positions are located at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia. The Mess dining rooms and bars operate daily from approximately 6 : 00 am to 9 : 30 pm, with occasional VIP events extending service until around 11 : 00 pm. We are primarily seeking staff for our Dinner Mess service, with shifts from 5 : 00pm to 8 : 00pm, as well as for our three bars, which operate between 1 : 00pm and 9 : 00pm. Additional shifts may be available for those with flexible availability. Please note : Hours and shifts vary weekly, based on a 7-day rotating roster. There may also be opportunities to work across the other metropolitan and regional sites managed by Ventia.

Benefits :

• Base rate of $26.11per hr + 25% casual loading = $32.64per hr
• Penalty rates for shifts after 6 pm, weekends, and public holidays.
• Additional allowances for laundry and first aiders (if / when certified).
• Uniform / PPE supplied.

Position Requirements :

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
