Position Overview
Pirtek is a proudly Australian business with over 45 years of experience, specialising in mobile “on‑site” service and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings. As a global network of local businesses, the Pirtek structure drives individual success while providing network support. Reporting to the CSR Sales Manager, the CSR will be an independent, motivated, and enthusiastic sales representative who will continue to develop and manage the existing customer base while building new business prospects at the Pirtek Maitland franchise locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the sales development of the market segment in the Maitland franchise locations.
- Analyse the market segment within the assigned territory and identify potential and existing customer accounts with opportunities for Pirtek Fluid Systems products and services.
- Implement direct sales strategies to obtain business from new and existing accounts via a planned and proactive business approach.
- Work with franchises to build successful sales, profitability, promotional and technical expertise.
- Complete all weekly and monthly reports by the due date set.
- Achieve sales targets as set by the CSR Sales Manager for the assigned market sector and territory / region.
- Maintain secure and retrievable records, including up‑to‑date CRM and sales opportunity pipelines.
- Competent in CRM software, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Effectively manage the sales opportunity pipeline to increase sales within the existing customer base and grow new customers.
- Develop, plan, and execute new customer acquisition strategies.
- Travel 4 days on the road, 1 day in office for administration, ensuring completion of customer call cycles.
- Operate within provided account discount structures and relevant trading terms.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Departments on product range promotions.
- Manage customer expectations and execute sales of products and services.
- Achieve sales KPIs with a focus on revenue growth and gross margin.
Other Responsibilities
Attend regular and ad‑hoc meetings as required.Participate in all company training.Display ongoing commitment to the 8 Pirtek Promises in all interactions.Provide routine reporting as scheduled and ad‑hoc as required.Perform any other tasks directed by Management.Vehicle Use
Ensure company car is clean and tidy.Communicate any grievances or road incidents in a timely manner.Adhere to company vehicle policy and maintain regular servicing.Monitor fuel consumption for optimal efficiency.Conduct safety checks and ensure all safety features are functional.Use vehicle efficiently to avoid unnecessary downtime.Quality Assurance
Ensure all work conforms to ISO 9001 : 2015 requirements.Follow quality policies, procedures and management directions.Participate in training to maintain competence.Notify supervisor if a task is beyond competence.Work Health & Safety (WHS)
Work in accordance with WHS AS / NZS 45001 : 2018.Contribute to discussions or feedback on WHS policies.Maintain personal and coworker safety and report hazards.Wear correct PPE at all times.Notify supervisor if training is required for safe task performance.Participate in investigations of safety incidents.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Driver’s licence (essential).Right to work in Australia.Available full‑time.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Attention to detail.Work ethic and pride in quality of work.Professional appearance and presentation.Confidence in representing Pirtek.Willingness to learn and undertake training.Experience (Desirable)
Entry‑level sales (0‑5 years, preferably industrial B2B / B2C).Solution‑selling experience.Fluid‑handling sales.Hands‑on trade background in industrial truck, bus, construction or automotive.CRM system experience.Skills
Presentation and relationship‑building.Influencing, persuasion and negotiation.Strong written and verbal communication.Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Sales analysis and analytical / numeracy.People management.Advantages
