Position Information

Marayong Public School is situated in Western Sydney. The school has a student population of approximately 621 students, including seven support classes (made up of students with autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities) and a preschool that caters for 80 students. Our school demographics include 67% of students from Non-English‑Speaking Backgrounds and 45 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Our school reflects a diversity of socioeconomic circumstances.

The roles are located in mainstream primary schools with seven or more support classes.

  • Proven ability to strengthen a dynamic and responsive school‑wide approach to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance and behaviour management processes enabling every student to connect, succeed, and thrive.

General Selection Criteria

  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
  • Conditions
