The Project - Perth Women and Babies Hospital

Webuild is delivering the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia.

This landmark project will replace the century old King Edward Memorial Hospital, expanding services and choice for women, newborns, and families, delivering long lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Commercial professionals to join the Perth Women and Babies Hospital project team.

As the project continues to progress, we are looking for individuals who bring strong commercial capability and proven experience delivering successful outcomes on major building, healthcare, infrastructure or construction projects.

We are particularly interested in candidates with Tier 1 contractor or principal contractor experience who have managed subcontract packages, contract administration activities and commercial outcomes within complex project environments.

• Contracts Administrator
• Quantity Surveyor
• Contracts Advisor

While we are primarily seeking experienced Contracts Administrators, we welcome applications from professionals with a range of commercial backgrounds, Health sector who can demonstrate strong commercial acumen and major project experience.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with Operating Standards throughout project delivery and ensure Operating Standards relating to subcontracting are always adhered to
• Support internal stakeholders with tendering, negotiation and formation of assigned subcontracts
• Assist with the project subcontracting strategy for assigned subcontracts
• Partner with internal management and stakeholders to review project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts to reflect subcontracting strategy on project
• Effective administration of all subcontracts to optimise earnings on project
• Assist with preparation of all claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the head contract and assigned subcontracts
• Assist with the management and resolution of all claims with subcontractors / suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards

About you

You are an experienced Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor who thrives in complex project environments and enjoys taking ownership of outcomes. You bring strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.

What you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, law, construction management and economics (CM&E) preferred
• Minimum of 6 years’ direct experience in managing subcontractors and suppliers
• Demonstrated experience as a contract’s administrator or commercial/ contracts advisor on building projects.
• Highly organised with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail and a desire to drive outcomes.
