A legacy of care
The origins of the Cessnock aged care site go back to the early 1960's when what was then known as Allandale Aged Care site was founded on the outskirts of the Cessnock community to provide aged care to the people of the lower Hunter. in 2003, Allandale was sold to Calvary Health Care and the site became Calvary Retirement Community Cessnock. Today, Calvary Cessnock is a large aged care home that offers quality aged care accommodation to 200 residents across two Residential Care sites; Bimbadeen and Nulkaba.
Over the years, Volunteers have always played a vital part in resident care, complementing the care provided by our paid staff. By volunteering at Calvary Cessnock you are becoming part of a legacy built on compassion and service. Your presence, time, and kindness can brighten lives and create meaningful connections for our residents and their families.
