Job description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in  Occupational Therapy Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy   interested in taking that next step into a Senior / Principal Rehabilitation Consultant role working within our growing Occupational Rehabilitation team in  Townsville QLD .

In this diverse role you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Your role will involve a mix between senior duties and also case management providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Your duties will include :

  • Case management (caseloads are manageable and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
  • Mentor and coach consultants to support their achievement of service delivery customer service (including SLA requirements) and billable minimum threshold.
  • Assist with the induction of new consultants and performance management processes.
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Customer relationship development
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers employers medical and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation compulsory third party life insurance Comcare Department of Veterans Affairs and employerfunded injury prevention programs;
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills including but not limited to initial workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis support treatment plans address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Qualifications :

Youll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy
  • Full Professional Registration with either  AHPRA   or Full EP Accreditation with ESSA
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry essential
  • Fabulous communication skills there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
  • Its the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;
  • A current  valid Drivers License  and access to  own car  with  comprehensive insurance  is a must.
