About You :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management (Mechanical, Civil, Process, or similar).

Position Summary :

Senior Project Manager leads the delivery of complex mining and mineral processing projects across all phases – from early studies to detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. As a key member of the project leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering projects under EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) frameworks, ensuring outcomes align with client expectations, safety standards, budgets, and schedules.

Key Requirements :

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in project management roles within the mining and mineral processing sector.
• Proven experience managing EPCM projects with capital values ranging from $10M to $200M.
• Previous consultancy experience and working across feasibility and execution phases.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Deep understanding of EPCM delivery methodology.
• Advanced project scheduling, budgeting, and reporting capability.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks and systems (Primavera, MS Project, Aconex, etc.).
• Strong negotiation and contract administration skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Job Responsibility :

Project Leadership & Execution:

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of mining and mineral processing projects.
• Oversee all phases of EPCM delivery – feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and project governance frameworks.
• Monitor project schedules and milestones using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Assist with proposal and estimate preparation.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration and delivery.
• Monitor progress and proactively manage project risks, scope changes, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Stakeholder & Client Management:

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing scope, change, and risk management issues.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings and lead project reporting activities.
• Issue weekly/monthly project status report to clients.
• Manage variations.

Team & Resource Management:

• Allocate and manage internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor and guide project engineers and coordinators.
• Coordinate with discipline leads across mechanical, electrical, process, and civil teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Commercial & Contractual Oversight:

• Lead tendering, contract formation, and negotiation with suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance and manage contractual obligations and claims.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company and client contractual frameworks.

Procurement and Construction Support:

• Oversee development of mechanical equipment procurement packages.
• Evaluate vendor bids and support technical clarifications and negotiations.
• Coordinate with construction teams and provide engineering support during field execution.
