The Opportunity

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll deliver excellent dining service, assist with food preparation, help set up and pack down dining areas and events, and build meaningful relationships that enhance the daily lives of residents. In this role, you’ll do more than serve meals— you’ll support our residents, foster meaningful connections, and help create a sense of community.

We are currently opening Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Part Time or Casual Cooks to join our team across our Melbourne East locations. Apply today, let us know your availability and we will contact you when a position becomes available.

Your Impact

  • Use the POS system to take orders while providing friendly, attentive, and personalised service to residents
  • Serve meals and drinks throughout service times, ensuring every dining experience is welcoming and enjoyable
  • Assist with light food preparation, including plating meals and preparing simple items such as salads
  • Support the setup and pack-down of events and dining spaces, maintaining clean, organised, and inviting areas throughout the day.
  • Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging

What you'll bring

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is desirable, but a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is most important
  • Friendly, people-focused attitude with a genuine passion for customer service
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
  • Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact

What we offer

  • Casual Rate: $37.48/hr including casual loading + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
  • Part Time Rate: $29.98 /hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
