Located in Norwood, we offer a diverse menu inspired by traditional dishes from across India. Our inviting atmosphere makes us a favourite for both casual dining and special occasions.

We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef (Two Positions) to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will create a wide range of authentic, flavourful Indian dishes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement)
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Chef
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
• In-depth understanding of food preparation, produce, and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
• Cook meals to order with accurate timing to maintain freshness and optimal serving temperature
• Uphold high standards of flavour, texture, and visual presentation
• Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients while maintaining authenticity
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Manage kitchen inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste
• Lead, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Keep accurate records of stock levels, equipment maintenance, and kitchen operations
• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen processes, systems, and service standards
