The Foam Company is a proudly Australian-owned and operated family business supplying high-quality, locally made open and closed-cell foam and polystyrene products across a wide range of industries. As one of Australia’s leading foam distributors, we supply to the construction, packaging, signage, and creative sectors nationally.
We are expanding our Perth-based sales and customer service team and are seeking a friendly, experienced, long-term, customer-focused team member to help manage customer enquiries, orders, and day-to-day operations.
The Role
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service and enjoys a mix of customer interaction and administrative work. You’ll handle a variety of customer service and sales support tasks - from managing calls and emails to preparing quotes, processing orders, liaising with suppliers, and coordinating couriers and factories. This role involves a broad range of administrative and customer service duties, while also offering opportunities to provide technical sales support and product solutions to our customers.
As the first point of contact for The Foam Company’s customers, you’ll play a key role in representing our business to both customers and suppliers. This is a hands‑on team position where strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential. You’ll ensure each order and enquiry is managed efficiently and that every customer enjoys a smooth, positive experience.
This is a full‑time, office‑based role located in Perth City. Full training and support is provided. The position reports directly to the Sales & Operations Manager and works closely with our national sales representative.
Key Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following :
Handle phone and email enquiries, providing professional and customer-focused responses.
Address sales inquiries and manage relationships with wholesale and business clients.
Processing and monitoring all orders.
Creating quotations and pricing.
Producing packing slips, delivery labels, and coordinate courier bookings.
Place stock orders aligned with customer demands and production.
Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive experience at every stage.
Stay updated on product knowledge and convey this information to customers.
Collaborate with dispatch teams for delivery timelines.
Adhere to existing sales and administration policies and procedures.
Execute other tasks as directed by the Sales & Operations Manager.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who takes initiative, enjoys a mix of customer interaction and admin work, and thrives in a team environment.
You will ideally have :
2+ years of experience in customer service, internal sales, and / or order processing.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with clear written and verbal English.
Attention to detail and accuracy in quoting, costing, and documentation.
Proficiency in measurements, mathematics, costing, and quoting.
Good keyboard skills and basic computing knowledge, including Word and Excel and order management software.
Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team, with a positive, customer-centric attitude.
Foam industry or product knowledge is highly regarded; candidates from related fields are encouraged to apply.
