Job description

The Berrigan Bar and Bistro is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in South Lake, WA. This full-time role will see you assisting in the running of our fast paced kitchen while delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

40 hours per week (full time) - 4 x 10hrs shifts

Salary is negotiable depending on skill and experience.

Must be available nights & weekends.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop creative and innovative menus
  • Manage and train kitchen staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and manage food costs
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

  • Commercial cookery certification, with a preference for candidates who hold a safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor qualification
  • Several years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality or restaurant environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in a range of cooking techniques and cuisine styles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
