The Berrigan Bar and Bistro is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in South Lake, WA. This full-time role will see you assisting in the running of our fast paced kitchen while delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
40 hours per week (full time) - 4 x 10hrs shifts
Salary is negotiable depending on skill and experience.
Must be available nights & weekends.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with the management team to develop creative and innovative menus
- Manage and train kitchen staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and manage food costs
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen
What we're looking for
Commercial cookery certification, with a preference for candidates who hold a safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor qualificationSeveral years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality or restaurant environmentDemonstrated expertise in a range of cooking techniques and cuisine stylesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent time management and organisational abilitiesKnowledge of relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
