Job Description
The Role
Working with the VP and AVP of Protection Pricing, Australia this role will be responsible for actuarial pricing for protection business written in Australia by Pacific Life Re Australia (“PLRe Aus”).
The role will focus on pricing of Retail and Direct-sold business, with a particular focus on an existing, long-term client. Along with managing the new business and in force pricing processes, this role would also be supporting other projects and initiatives related to the client.
You will work with other teams (Underwriting, Claims, Data Analytics, Marketing, Back-office, and our technology partner UnderwriteMe) and build a relationship directly with the client to ideate and deliver innovative solutions that drive sustainable growth. Your role will cross both reinsurance and direct insurance pricing, and require a deep understanding of the distribution landscape within the Australian Retail market.
You’ll lead a team of analysts and actuaries and help them build their technical actuarial skills. You’ll be supported by a global Pricing function as well as other pricing teams locally that focus on Group Risk and other Retail business.
