This is a Melbourne-based Senior Consultant opportunity in our Finance Transformation team, where you'll help clients modernise the way finance creates value across their business.

What will your typical day look like?

Working alongside some of Deloitte's brightest minds, you'll help clients assess and redesign their finance function to meet changing business needs. That could mean analysing current-state processes, shaping future-state operating models, refining business partnering capabilities, or using financial modelling to support smarter decisions.

Your work will help CFOs and finance leaders improve efficiency, reduce cost, and create better experiences for customers and internal stakeholders. You'll contribute to end-to-end transformation programs that connect strategy with execution, from identifying the change required through to embedding improved processes and enabling systems.

Success in this role comes from being able to move between problem solving, stakeholder engagement and delivery. You'll collaborate closely with clients, senior leaders and Deloitte teams, while also supporting business development through strong commercial thinking, clear storytelling and practical recommendations.

About the team

Our Finance Transformation team helps CFOs respond to disruption, strengthen finance performance and lead change with confidence. We work across the full transformation journey, from finance strategy and operating model design through to process improvement, technology-enabled transformation and assurance over change initiatives. Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Around 5+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, ideally in consulting, or a mix of consulting and relevant industry experience

• Experience improving finance structures, processes, operating models or business partnering capabilities

• Strong strategic problem solving, commercial acumen and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders

• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, including building business models, analysing data and developing client-ready recommendations

• A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across diverse and sometimes international teams

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field

• Experience supporting technology transformation initiatives, including ERP or EPM platforms such as SAP, Oracle, SAC, Anaplan or Adaptive Planning

• Hands-on finance experience in areas like strategy, corporate finance, FP&A, financial controlling, business partnering or finance operations
