Southern Hills Christian College is a K-12 Christian school inBedfordale, Western Australia, and is part of the Swan ChristianEducation Association. Our staff are all committed Christians, andthis belief is embedded both explicitly and implicitly in ourcurriculum and all that we do.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicatedPrimary Teacher to join our teamin a part-time (0.6 FTE),fixed-term position for Terms 3 and4. From the 20 th July, you will play anintegral role in shaping the hearts and minds of students in aChrist-centred environment. There is the potential of a leadershipposition for the right candidate.

This is not just a role, it’s a sacred opportunity to inspirecreativity, skill, and character in young people. You will teachwith purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learningthat will shape lives for eternity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Teach year 5 students with excellence and care.
• Plan, deliver and assess engaging, age-appropriate lessonswith a Christian worldview.
• Cultivate a safe, Christ-centred, joy-filled classroomenvironment.
• Build positive relationships with students andfamilies.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to support studentgrowth.
• Contribute to school life and uphold SCEA’s Christianvalues.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christand be an active member of a Christian Church.
• Accept and align with the Association’s Statement of Faith,Foundational Statements of belief, and educationalobjectives.
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
• Ability to nurture a calm, inclusive classroom, supportedby strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willing to uphold and contribute to the Christian life ofthe school.
• Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia(TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check(WWCC) or willingness to apply.

Desirable:
(Include where appropriate in your response)

• Experience teaching Primary year levels.
• Ability to differentiate learning.
• Confidence using digital technologies.
