Environmental Approvals Manager - Base Metals, WA

Join a junior development company in Western Australia's rich base metals sector. Committed to sustainable and responsible mining practices while delivering value to their shareholders and stakeholders, they are now looking to engage an experienced Environmental Approvals Manager.

A key part of the Project Team and reporting through to the MD, you will play a pivotal role in securing and managing environmental approvals. You will be responsible for navigating the complex regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and facilitating stakeholder engagement processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the sustainable development of a base metals projects while minimizing environmental impacts.

You will be degree qualified and have extensive experience in environmental approvals and permitting for mining or resource development projects in WA. You will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Western Australian environmental regulations, and associated guidelines and possess strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks within deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels is an absolute requirement to succeed in this role.

Your new office is based in Perth with some travel required. The preference is for a full-time commitment, but dependent on your experience a part-time / flexible engagement may be considered.

The role will be well-suited to an experienced Environment Approvals Manager or Senior Advisor with a passion for environmental sustainability, with previous experience in delivering approvals as part of a study team in the junior mine development space.
