Job description

We're looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Technicians with at least 2 years' experience in open cut mining working on a variety of mobile plant equipment. This is your opportunity to jump on the Emeco bandwagon and join our busy crew at KCGM Fimiston in Kalgoorlie.

What your day looks like :

  • Ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet.
  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
  • Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others.
  • Ensuring all maintenance and optimisation targets are met on time and within budget.
  • Working with Emeco customers and stakeholders to meet larger organisational objectives.
  • Our Fleet On-Site :

  • Excavators : Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr
  • Graders : CAT 140H
  • Trucks : CAT 785C x 1, 777F x 3
  • Wheel Loaders : CAT 950, 966, 972, 980, 992
  • Opportunity for our equipment rental contract to keep expanding
  • What we'll need from you :

  • Must have full working rights within Australia
  • Proven post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi
  • Recognised National Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter Trade Qualification
  • High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's License (HR is preferable)
  • High risk licence (is preferable) but we also offer in-house training.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a current National Police Check.
