Senior Technical Writer / Analyst - EL1 equivalent

  • 12 month contract with 2x12 months extension option
  • New project in FY2025 - Dynamics 365 and Power Apps areas
  • Open for candidates in Canberra or any other locations - Sydney / Adelaide / Melbourne / Brisbane for remote working
  • Must be Australian Citizen, with active / ability to obtain Baseline

    • The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and is seeking a Technical Analyst / Writer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for bridging the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users by producing high-quality documentation and supporting the development of our digital services built on .NET, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365 . The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation and actionable insights.

    Key duties and responsibilities

    As a Technical Analyst / Writer you will :

  • Configure and maintain Dynamics 365 and Power Apps solutions including workflows, business rules.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to understand system functionalities, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Analyse business requirements to document functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and provide insights into documentation needs.
  • Liaise with business users, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment between documentation and user needs.
  • Act as a conduit for translating technical jargon into business-friendly language.
  • Participate in defect triaging by analysing and prioritising issues raised during testing or in production.
  • Investigate, document and track defects to resolution, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to verify defect fixes.
  • Support release readiness by validating defect resolution. Provide feedback on technical designs and proposed solutions for clarity and consistency
