NSW location with hybrid working supported

Opportunity to play a key role in the management of water resources throughout NSW. You will be part of the high performing and agile Regional Water Strategy Branch, which is part of a large Strategy and Policy Division.

As the Manager Regional Water Strategies, you will lead the delivery, implementation and review of region-scale water strategies to determine the best solutions for long‑term water resource resilience, including policy, planning and infrastructure solutions. You will lead water strategy research activities and projects and liaise with government agencies, utilities, industry and community stakeholders in a highly sensitive operating environment to ensure strategic direction consistent with the State's water reform agenda and relevant legislation.

About You

To be successful in the role, you must have extensive experience in one or more of the following : policy development, water planning, natural resource management, environmental science, or civil / environmental engineering.

You have extensive experience in managing large strategy projects with multiple components which have required expert advice to inform decision making regarding economic, planning, infrastructure and contextual issues.

You are a leader with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and negotiations given the sensitivities of strategy outcomes, as well as lead multiple complex, sensitive strategic initiatives across government jurisdictions.
