About The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive meaningful change in acute care? South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a pivotal Team Leader role across Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. This Level 4 position offers the opportunity to guide a high-performing team, influence service delivery, and contribute to the strategic direction of occupational therapy in acute settings.

As Team Leader, you’ll oversee staffing, rotations, and service planning, ensuring resources are aligned with patient needs and clinical priorities. You’ll represent occupational therapy on key committees, contribute to service redesign, and collaborate with leadership to implement evidence‑based models of care. Your role will be central to evaluating clinical outcomes, driving quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the development of future service frameworks.

This is your chance to mentor and support a diverse team of therapists and students, fostering professional growth through structured supervision and performance development. You’ll play a key role in research, service evaluation, and continuous improvement, all while navigating the dynamic demands of acute care. If you’re a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for high‑quality, compassionate care—this is the role for you.

What You'll Be Doing

The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of the Acute Services team in collaboration with their manager.

They provide clinical supervision and support and clinical expertise within occupational therapy services for the delivery of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person‑centred care. They are involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. They identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, service delivery, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.

Where You'll Be Working

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged‑care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

The hospitals share a close‑knit, community‑focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi‑million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

Together, these sister hospitals ensure that the diverse needs of the community are met with excellence and innovation in healthcare.
