The Environment You Will Work In

This role is embedded within YETI, a youth service supporting young people who may be experiencing instability, disconnection and complex risk.

Domestic and family violence can intersect with a number of competing priorities and needs for young people and may require complex system navigation and support.

In this role you will:

1. Build trusting relationships with young people while maintaining clear boundaries
2. Support young people experiencing distress, anger or uncertainty
3. Apply a specialist DFV perspective when working alongside other practitioners
4. Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable young people

This work requires strong emotional regulation and reflective practice.

Support and Induction

Induction is structured and gradual, allowing you to build confidence before managing a full caseload.

Ongoing support includes:

1. Monthly internal supervision
2. External supervision every two months
3. Access to debriefing and reflective conversations
4. Protected team time for case discussion
5. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

These supports ensure practitioners are well supported in complex youth work.
