Preservations E&I Technician - Chinchilla/Miles

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Preservation Technician – E&I is to typically lead & work as part of the Preservation team performing well defined tasks, where there is a specific objective and outcome. This role is to ensure the quality of materials supplied from the warehouses is of the highest standard & is fit for purpose at any given time. This is a 5/2, full time role that would suit those experienced in any of the electrical trades

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute a day-to-day maintenance activity as assigned, from end-to-end basis to enable high equipment reliability and plant availability.
• Update maintenance records, and prepare relevant reports
• Accountable to perform assigned critical activities as per process safety requirements
• Drive high standard of personal accountability and performance to deliver the site and department goals and targets.
• Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate verbally in writing to operators, employees, supervisors and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity
• Perform required material quality control, function checks, and analysis
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist in troubleshooting of potential issues
• Keep equipment and worksite clean
• Contribute to keeping process materials records and maintain good housekeeping practices
• Understand and perform physical inventories

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory requirements:

• Relevant Electrical trade experience and qualifications
• High Risk Licence in Forklift (up to 16 T blade fork)
• Current open Driver Licence
• Ability to lead & work well within a team environment
• Moderate skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment

Desirable skills:

• Rigger and/or Dogman Licence
• Team leadership experience
• Spill response training
• Waste management experience and qualifications
• Dangerous Goods handling experience and qualifications
• Knowledge with material management programs (e.g. Maximo / SAP)
