About the Role :

As a Hoist Fitter , you’ll be hands-on maintaining and improving our fleet of construction hoists. You’ll work with motors, gearboxes, and structural components - keeping equipment running safely and reliably, and ensuring machines are serviced, tested, and ready to go back out to site in top condition.

You’ll be part of a small, skilled crew who take pride in quality work, safety, and helping each other out to get the job done. Based at our Yatala workshop , you’ll also support rigging and installation when needed, with opportunities to travel across South East Queensland.

This role suits someone with a mechanical trade background - such as a fitter / turner, plant mechanic, diesel fitter, or maintenance fitter - who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and seeing the results of their work every day.

What You’ll Do :

• Service, inspect, and repair hoist motors, gearboxes, and related components.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, completing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support rigging and installation teams on-site when required (training provided).
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and attention to detail in all work.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement in workshop systems.
