Finance Lawyer (Asset & Equipment Finance) – On-Demand / Contractor

We are a small asset & equipment finance broker seeking a senior, commercially minded Fractional Finance Lawyer to collaborate on legal documents and processes for a pilot in-house lending project.

This is a long-term contractor role, not full-time employment, with the need to be available during office hours (not after-hours or weekends). We are looking to agree on a competitive hourly rate and provide a steady flow of work.

The Role (Summary) :

• Review, refine and maintain our loan documentation suite
• Provide on-demand legal advice on live loan matters (PPSR, defaults, recoveries, hardship, variations).
• Advise on PPSA / PPSR strategy, registration and enforcement.
• Support the business on credit, security and recoverability risk from a legal perspective.
• Design and manage our external senior law firm panel for : Litigation, Insolvency, Receiverships, Complex enforcement
• Act as our first point of legal escalation, only briefing top-tier firms when required.
• Advise on regulatory, AML / KYC and business-purpose lending compliance as it relates to loan documentation.
• Work with customers and internal operation in a practical, commercial manner.
