Job descriptionPreparation & Portioning : Measure, portion, and seal ingredients to maintain freshness Labelling & Sorting : Accurately label products, ensure quality, and remove damaged stock Knife Handling & Machine Operation : Operate labelling machines, vegetable cutters, and cryovac equipment; trim and sort vegetables with precision Palletising & Packing : Pack finished products and prepare for dispatch Tray Washing : Wash trays in a wet area involving some heavy lifting Work Rights : Australian birth certificate or passport required Experience : Minimum 12 months in food production, packing, or manufacturing GMP Knowledge : Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards PPE Compliance : Willingness to wear provided protective gear (jackets, gumboots, etc.) Availability : Flexibility to work 4-5 shifts per week, up to 40 hours Secure Work Environment : Safe and inclusive workplace with designated staff parking Ongoing Opportunities : Potential for permanent full-time roles for dedicated workers Employee Perks : Discounts on health insurance, gym memberships, and retail outlets PPE Provided : Stay comfortable and safe with all protective gear supplied
Our client, based in Morningside, specialises in creating and producing fresh ingredients, ready-to-eat salads, and convenience foods. They proudly supply major retailers, including Coles, Woolworths, and Aldi.
Role Overview
Shift Options : Morning, day (Overtime Available)
- Environment : Chilled workroom (1-4°C)
- Transport : Own reliable transport required (limited public transport)
- Roster : 4-5 days, Monday to Saturday, with extra shifts available
- Physical Demands : Ability to lift 5-20 kg, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
