The Legal Services Commission Queensland is hiring a Lawyer + PAE 2 years!

The Legal Services Commission is looking for a Lawyer (Professional Conduct) to assess and investigate professional conduct matters, working at the heart of legal ethics and compliance.

About the role

  • Assess, investigate, and review complaints about lawyers, law practice employees, and unlawful operators.
  • Recommend actions to the Legal Services Commissioner and support enforcement proceedings.
  • Provide advice on compliance and misconduct issues.
  • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior members of the legal profession, clients, and the public.
  • Support legal research, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Admission as an Australian lawyer and eligibility for a practising certificate in Queensland.
  • At least two years of post-admission legal practice experience.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and complex legal matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Experience in regulatory, investigatory, or professional conduct roles (desirable).
