About the Role

An experienced Backend Developer is sought to join a high-performing senior engineering team working on a globally distributed platform. This is a 12-month contract backfill opportunity, offering hands-on technical work across a modern, event-driven system built with C# and .NET Core.

You’ll work alongside a team of 6–7 senior developers, reporting to one of the technical leads. The environment is collaborative and engineering-led, with a focus on writing quality code, maintaining technical standards, and contributing to a long-term project with real career growth potential.

You Should Have

A minimum of 5 years of commercial software development experience
Strong hands-on skills in C# and .NET Core
Solid experience with REST APIs, containers, and event-driven systems
Familiarity with modern development tools including Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, CI / CD, GitHub, gRPC, and SignalR
Confidence working within a senior team environment

Nice to Have

Exposure to frontend development

Experience with Akka.NET or similar actor-based frameworks

Background in high-availability systems, particularly in complex or industrial environments

Key Responsibilities

Writing clean, maintainable backend code

Performing code reviews and supporting team members

Contributing to system architecture and design discussions

Ensuring high technical standards across the development lifecycle
