THE COMPANY :

This ASX-listed Financial Services firm employs 200+ staff and operates in the Asset Management space.

They are fast-paced business in a high growth phase, making this is a unique opportunity to step into a close-knit IT team and undertake a broad yet evolving role with a clear career path.

The business has taken a Microsoft cloud-first approach - fully hosted in Azure & M365.

THE ROLE :

You will be the main point of contact acting as the conduit between the business and external IT vendors to ensure effective IT Service Delivery.

It's a customer-service focused role where you will be required to translate complex IT concepts into easy-to-understand language, and vice versa.

Responsibilities :

  • Management of the external IT MSP to resolve end-user IT issues and implement new IT solutions.
  • Be the main onsite IT point of contact for both internal staff and the IT MSP.
  • Work with the IT MSP to ensure hardware, software, and systems settings are correctly configured in line business requirements,
  • Manage the Service & Applications Register - incl updating renewals, security controls, certificates, contract terms etc.
  • Cloud Application Product Owner - take ownership of user access, licensing, application monitoring, issues resolution, sanctioned / unsanctioned applications, vendor management etc.
  • User onboarding / offboarding responsibilities.
  • Maintain user permissions and account access.
  • Maintain patching schedules and ensure latest releases / upgrades are implemented via the IT MSP.
  • Staff training including creation of user guides.
  • Overflow End User Support as required.
  • Assist in IT project delivery.
  • This is a full time in-office role.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for someone from an IT Service Delivery / IT Support background supporting internal users inside corporate professional environments.

Ideal for an end-user centric IT professional who excels in fast-paced environments and enjoys taking ownership and forging relationships with others to enable business objectives through technology and customer support.

The following is required :

  • Strong knowledge / experience with Microsoft cloud technologies - Azure, M365, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Defender etc.
  • Proven experience effectively managing relationships with external IT vendors to ensure IT Service Delivery.
  • Strong customer-service focus with an ability to form relationships + influence others.
  • Display a solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of cloud-based SaaS applications.
  • IT project management skills are beneficial.
  • Demonstrate an ability to translate complex IT concepts into easy-to-understand language, and vice versa.
  • Comfortable working onsite in the office full time.
  • This is an onsite full-time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD and is $100,000 - $115,000 + super + bonus potential.
