Job description

The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) protects Victorian workers from exploitation and improves transparency and integrity in the labour hire industry by regulating businesses that provide or use labour hire services. LHA licences labour hire providers, monitors and enforces compliance, and supports providers, hosts and workers to understand and comply with their legal obligations. Established to administer the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) (LHL Act), LHA is an independent agency whose work is wholly funded by licence fees from labour hire businesses. Since 2019, LHA has expanded its program of industry engagement, compliance and enforcement, growing its small and dedicated team to around 120 staff and establishing a strong track record.LHA employees are offered hybrid and flexible working arrangements in accordance with Victorian Public Service and LHA policies.About the role Reporting to the Manager Intelligence and Analytics, the Tactical Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing tactical and operational intelligence products to inform and support the objectives of LHA. The Tactical Intelligence Analyst works as part of the Intelligence and Analytics Branch and with other stakeholders across LHA to inform high level strategies, support regulatory operations, and to identify targeted initiatives and priorities.This position has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.   • Strong ability and passion as a researcher with strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about helping prevent the exploitation of Victorian labour hire workers and improve employment conditions of vulnerable workers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment dealing with competing priorities
