Position Information

Bradbury Public School is situated in Southwestern Sydney in the Campbelltown Network and has a Family Occupation Education and Index of 102. Bradbury currently has 720 students enrolled from K-6. The school hosts twenty–seven mainstream classes, an Opportunity Class, three Autism Classes and an IO / IS Class. Eleven percent of our students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and fifty nine percent are from an English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL / D) background. Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff hold high expectations for teaching and learning and demonstrate this through their ongoing commitment to professional learning. Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval to teach special education and / or willingness to teach students who have additional learning needs, including Autism and intellectual disabilities, with proven skills in applying strategies to support communication, sensory, social and behavioural needs.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality teaching and learning programs, differentiating the curriculum for a diverse range of students in multi staged classes with a focus on building life skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with parents and external stakeholders to develop individualised learning goals and personalised learning and support plans that respond to the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
