Job description

This role requires a strong design eye, a data-informed approach to product development, and the ability to balance creativity with commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Development

  • Develop seasonal design collections across two brands, ensuring each maintains a distinct aesthetic and brand identity
  • Execute original concepts from ideation through to final execution, balancing creativity with commercial viability
  • Produce technically accurate design files including detailed technical sketches, colour references, and construction specifications
  • Ensure all designs are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets, and in line with project briefs
  • Collaborate closely with the wider design and product team to ensure cohesive, on-brand ranges

Trend & Data Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing global and local market research across trends, fabrics, fit, silhouette, and construction techniques
  • Monitor and analyse sales data, best sellers, and trade performance to inform future design decisions
  • Identify emerging trends and translate them into commercially relevant product opportunities
  • Lead competitor analysis and benchmarking across both brand categories
  • Contribute to seasonal trend presentations and concept direction

Quality & Brand Integrity

  • Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across both brands at every touchpoint
  • Review and action feedback on quality, fit, and submissions throughout the product lifecycle
  • Maintain the highest standard of design output and product presentation for all internal and external stakeholders

Collaboration & Administration

  • Liaise with sales, production, and planning teams to ensure briefs are accurate and projects are on track
  • Work cooperatively across departments to drive efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Complete ad hoc administrative duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 3–5 years design experience within a fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brand or retailer
  • Proven ability to design commercially successful product with a strong trend awareness
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Creative Suite, with expert 2D sketching and technical drawing skills
  • Strong understanding of product development, critical path, and workflow management
  • Confident working with sales data and translating insights into design decisions
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communicator and natural collaborator
  • Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-focused

Key Performance Indicators

  • On-time delivery of designs and samples across both brands
  • Commercial performance of designed ranges, measured through sell-through and best seller data
  • Consistency and accuracy of brand identity maintained across all touchpoints
  • Quality of trend research and its translation into product
  • Effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration and communication
