The Hospital
The newly redeveloped hospital was opened in 2015 with state of art facilities across emergency, maternity, paediatrics, theatres, intensive care, coronary care, medical and surgical specialities, with 348 treatment spaces.
- Maternity service offers Level 4 capability, with on-site Paediatrician support and a Level 3 Special Care Nursery.
- Specialist service features a 20-bed maternity unit, 3 birth suites, and an 8-bed Special Care Nursery within a modern Rural Referral Hospital that provides specialist care to the northern region.
- The hospital also delivers a Level 4 Gynaecology service, accommodating major gynaecology procedures using both open and laparoscopic surgery, along with a 24/7 emergency service.
- Consultants have regular access to modern theatre and outpatient facilities for their practices.
The Requirements
- FRANZCOG with specialist registration or are on an approved pathway with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
