Night Auditor - HIEX Adelaide

Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre is a modern IHG hotel located in the heart of Adelaide, delivering smart, simple, and comfortable stays for business and leisure travellers. We are part of EVT Connect Hospitality, offering strong career pathways within a growing hospitality group.

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to support overnight hotel operations. This role is responsible for accurately completing the nightly audit process, preparing daily revenue reports, and delivering a consistent and high-quality guest experience in line with IHG brand standards and regulatory requirements.

This position predominantly covers overnight shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to support day shifts if required.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Returns

• Conduct the Night Audit process in line with the Night Auditor checklist
• Accurately post daily hotel revenue and identify discrepancies
• Produce complete and accurate night audit and revenue reports
• Balance guest accounts, cashier accounts, and outstanding charges
• Ensure cash handling and security procedures are followed
• Support internal control measures to prevent theft or fraud
• Maintain security of hotel floats and keys
• Monitor and control stock
• Support achievement of IHG Rewards Club enrolment targets

People & Teamwork

• Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments
• Complete detailed handovers between shifts
• Participate in required training and development activities
• Maintain professional presentation, grooming, and punctuality standards
• Build positive working relationships within the hotel team
• Communicate guest feedback, issues, and service challenges to supervisors

Guest Experience

• Deliver front office services in line with IHG Brand Standards
• Provide warm, professional, and personalised guest service overnight
• Recognise IHG Rewards members and VIP guests
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, issues, and incidents
• Record and follow up on guest concerns in the hotel log
• Assist with reservations and food & beverage service in the Great Room
• Maintain cleanliness checks of front and back of house areas
• Ensure guest safety and security throughout the hotel

Responsible Business

• Comply with EVT Connect Hospitality and IHG policies and procedures
• Follow WH&S, RSA, HACCP, and Food Safety requirements
• Assist with emergency response procedures including fire, power outage, and other incidents
• Identify and report hazards, risks, and incidents in a timely manner
• Support injury and incident reporting and corrective actions
• Maintain property security and data privacy standards
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor or Front Office role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and confidence in financial reconciliation
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Experience with Opera or similar PMS systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
